The city of Agadir will host, from 19 to 28 June, the African qualifications for the beach volleyball tournament for the Olympic Games of Tokyo.

These qualifiers will bring together 24 national teams in the men’s competition and 20 in the women’s side, said the Royal Moroccan Federation of Volleyball in a statement.

In the women’s category, the tournament features teams from Morocco, Cote d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

In the men’s competition, the qualifications bring together Niger, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Mali, Mozambique, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, Togo, Tanzania, South Sudan, Congo Brazzaville, Benin and Botswana.
