Doctors in Morocco can now complete most of their administrative procedures online after the National Council of the Order of Physicians (CNOM) launched a new digital platform. The platform is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It lets doctors submit requests from anywhere instead of travelling to Regional Councils.
Doctors can use the service to register with the Order, transfer to another regional council, change their professional status or practice address, stop practising, request replacements, and submit agreements and contracts.
Supporting documents can be uploaded online. Each doctor has a personal account to track the progress of their application and download certificates, decisions and other official documents once they are approved.
The platform also changes how payments are made. Doctors now pay by bank transfer or direct bank deposit. The bank account details (RIB) of the relevant Regional Council appear automatically for each paid service. Payment receipts can then be uploaded to complete the application.
The online system removes the need for many in-person visits, cuts paperwork and helps speed up administrative procedures. It also allows payment records to be stored electronically.
The platform is part of the Order’s wider digital transformation programme. It also improves coordination between doctors, Regional Councils and the National Council.
Law No. 131-13 on the practice of medicine and Decree No. 2-15-447 require the National Order of Physicians to provide an electronic portal for administrative requests. The platform also follows Law No. 09-08 on personal data protection under the supervision of the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP).
The cloud-based platform includes separate registration for existing members and new applicants, secure document uploads, online requests for professional medical identity cards, automatic payment matching and a dashboard showing real-time application progress, notifications and downloadable PDF certificates.
Regional Councils are also ending cheque payments. CROM Rabat-Salé-Kénitra has already announced that annual membership fees and administrative charges must now be paid by bank transfer or bank deposit.
Doctors previously had to visit regional offices to transfer between regions, update practice details or register contracts. The new platform moves these services online and supports the country’s wider effort to digitise healthcare administration.
