Morocco has donated 200 tons of fertilizer to small farmers in Guatemala to support the fight against poverty and malnutrition.

According to a statement from the Moroccan diplomatic mission in Guatemala City, approximately 10,000 families across seven Guatemalan provinces will benefit from this donation. During the ceremony, the Guatemalan Minister of Agriculture expressed gratitude to King Mohammed VI, thanking Morocco for this generous gesture. He also emphasized the importance of this donation in supporting rural development efforts and implementing the government’s plan to reduce poverty and malnutrition.

Ambassador Louajri reaffirmed Morocco’s commitment to food security and South-South cooperation, a strategic pillar of the Kingdom’s foreign policy. He assured Morocco’s continued willingness to collaborate with President Bernardo Arevalo and his government for the progress and prosperity of Guatemala.

Senior officials from the Guatemalan Ministry of Agriculture, deputies, and local representatives attended the event, underscoring the importance of this solidarity gesture for agricultural development and the fight against poverty.
