The Moroccan Embassy in Argentina has made a donation of foodstuffs to a local foundation that helps needy people in the Argentine capital. The donation, consisting of some 800 kg of food products, was handed by the Ambassador of the Kingdom in Buenos Aires, Yassir Fares, to the head of institutional relations at the “Abraza Argentina” Foundation, Pastor Pablo Repetto.

In a statement to MAP on Saturday, Repetto thanked the embassy for this “generous donation which will allow the Foundation to assist the underprivileged population in very poor and underprivileged neighborhoods” south of the capital. The work of the “Abraza Argentina” Foundation consists of preparing and distributing meals to families who are going through hardship in the context of the coronavirus pandemic due to the loss of jobs and sources of income, explained Repetto.

The support provided by the Embassy of the Kingdom will undoubtedly help alleviate the suffering of the inhabitants of the neighborhoods targeted by the Foundation south of Buenos Aires, added Pastor Repetto.
