The High Commission for Planning (HCP) has announced the commencement of the third and final phase of in-person training for participants in the 2024 General Census of Population and Housing (RGPH). This phase, running from August 15 to 27, is crucial in preparing the workforce for the upcoming data collection operation, scheduled to take place from September 1 to 30.
This stage marks the last step in the training process before the actual data collection begins. According to the HCP, a total of 53,800 participants are involved in this phase, including 41,300 enumerators (with 18,300 women), 11,500 controllers (1,700 of whom are women), and 1,000 municipal supervisors (including 200 women).
The participant pool is diverse, with 59.3% comprising graduates and students, of which 17% have an educational level equivalent to or higher than a master’s degree. Additionally, 31.9% of the participants are teachers, 5.2% are public administration and institution employees, 1.5% are HCP staff, 1.8% work in the private sector, and 0.3% are retired public servants.
