From April 14 to 17, Morocco’s insurance watchdog, the ACAPS (Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare), is hosting a high-level delegation from the U.S. National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), reinforcing a transatlantic alliance in the field of insurance supervision.
This visit is part of a long-term strategic partnership between the two institutions, built around technical cooperation and the exchange of regulatory expertise. The program features a series of working meetings, expert exchanges, and joint reflections on new opportunities for collaboration—particularly around market regulation and consumer protection.
The delegation is also scheduled to meet with several key players in Morocco’s financial sector, reflecting a shared commitment to deepening bilateral ties and adapting regulatory practices to a rapidly evolving insurance landscape.
This mission builds on a dialogue that began in earnest in January 2019 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in Key Largo, aimed at fostering technical cooperation and the sharing of best practices.
Through this renewed engagement, both ACAPS and NAIC reaffirm their joint commitment to promoting modern, inclusive, and resilient insurance supervision—fit for the challenges of a transforming global industry.
