The Jordanian House of Representatives has expressed its support for Morocco’s efforts in the area of immigration and commended the role of the Kingdom in the fight against illegal immigration. The Speaker of the House, Abdelmoneim Al-Awdat, expressed during talks with Morocco’s ambassador in Amman, Khaled Naciri, his support for the efforts undertaken by Morocco in the area of immigration and the fight against illegal immigration, said a statement by the Jordanian Lower House.
Al-Awdat shed light on the strength of the ties between Jordan and Morocco under the leadership of King Abdellah II and His brother King Mohammed VI, adding that the two countries have set out a model of a bilateral relationship based on trust, mutual respect and convergence of points of views on regional issues, in particular the Palestinian cause. For his part, the Moroccan diplomat underlined that Morocco welcomes the positions expressed by Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah II, regarding Morocco and its territorial integrity, reiterating Morocco’s unwavering determination to develop all the forms of cooperation between the two countries to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
Talks between the two sides also focused on the means to strengthen parliamentary relations and develop cooperation in all areas, including at the legislative level.
