Kraft Heinz sets up shop in Rabat to drive African growth

Kraft Heinz is stepping up its international expansion with the launch of a liaison office in Rabat, signaling a deeper commitment to Morocco—a market the U.S. food giant now sees as central to its regional growth strategy.

The new office was officially registered on March 8 as a single-member limited liability company, with a starting capital of 100,000 dirhams. Strategically located in the Al Massira Tower in Hay Riad, Rabat’s upscale business district, the space places Kraft Heinz alongside numerous other global corporations operating in Morocco.

The company, known worldwide for brands like Heinz, Capri Sun, Philadelphia, and Maxwell House, is tasking the Rabat office with overseeing local commercial operations. Under the leadership of Mohamed El Khayati, the office will handle imports, distribution, and sales, while also focusing on strategic monitoring and the development of new business partnerships.

This move marks a significant milestone in Kraft Heinz’s broader African strategy. By setting up shop in Morocco, the company joins a growing number of multinationals leveraging the country’s geographic advantage and political stability to serve as a launchpad for expansion across the continent.
