Following in the footsteps of major players like Wafa Cash, M2T, Barid Cash, and Cash Plus, Lana Cash, a subsidiary of CIH Bank, has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 1,000 retail points across Morocco.

Initially launched in 2014 as a money transfer service, Lana Cash expanded its offerings in 2019 to include bill payments, mobile phone top-ups, and purchases from partner merchants. In 2022, the company further diversified its services by becoming a pick-up point for parcel deliveries in collaboration with Colis Privé.

Under the leadership of Brahim Zekhnini, Lana Cash has experienced strong growth, driven by the addition of new agents, which boosted its network to over 1,000 locations. The big question remains whether this expansion can help the company recover financially after several years of losses.

The new management team is focusing on launching innovative products and broadening its customer base, with hopes that these efforts, along with its “We Pay” app, will solidify Lana Cash’s position in the market.
