The Club des Femmes Administrateurs (CFA) Maroc has elected Leila Haddaoui as its new president, replacing Samira Khamlichi after her three-year term.

The new board also includes Najoua Bensouda, Amina Daoudi, Fatima Zohra El Querkhaoui, Fadwa Housni, Kawtar Johrati, Hind Lfal, Bouchra Qermane and Khaoula Ramdi.

The change comes after three years under Samira Khamlichi, a period the association says helped it grow and expand its work.

CFA Maroc works to improve corporate governance by helping more women join company boards in Morocco.

The association keeps a database of experienced women leaders and connects them with companies looking for new board members. It also offers training, masterclasses, conferences and a mentoring programme to help women prepare for leadership roles.

CFA Maroc also encourages businesses and public institutions to improve gender balance in leadership. It supports the implementation of Law 19-20, which sets targets for women’s representation on boards of directors.

The group regularly holds networking events called “CFA Mornings”, where members discuss leadership, business and governance.

CFA Maroc also works with national and international partners, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC), to study how gender diversity affects company performance.
