A new luxury resort planned for Marrakech could change how visitors experience the city. Ennismore and YAMED say they will bring the Delano hotel brand to Morocco, marking its first opening in Africa.
The partnership was announced on 5 May, following an agreement signed on 22 April by leaders from Ennismore and Ynexis Group. The resort will be built near the Majorelle Garden and the Atlas Mountains. The developers say the project will combine local culture with modern design.
Gaurav Bhushan, Co-CEO of Ennismore, said: “Marrakech, with its rich heritage, creativity, and international influence, is an ideal setting for the brand. This project allows us to deploy the Delano resort experience in a destination that has always inspired travelers.”
The development will include 130 hotel rooms, along with private villas and suites. About 80 branded residential villas are also planned. The homes will have four to six bedrooms, private pools, a clubhouse, a golf simulator and round-the-clock concierge services.
Facilities will include a large central pool for leisure and social events, a wellness space called The Source by Delano inspired by Moroccan traditions, and restaurants and bars such as the Rose Bar and Café Delano created by Paris Society.
YAMED says the project supports its long-term goal of creating a lifestyle destination. Karim Beqqali, Founder and CEO of YAMED, said the partnership combines “branded residential and hospitality into a fusion living experience” and raises Marrakech’s global profile.
Sales of the Delano Residences are due to start in late 2026. The hotel is expected to open in 2030. The project adds to Ennismore’s growing Mediterranean portfolio, which includes Cannes, Ibiza and Casablanca.
