Wael Jassar, one of the most beloved voices in the Arab world, is set to take the stage at the Mohammed V National Theatre on Friday, June 20, as part of the 20th edition of the Mawazine – Rhythms of the World Festival, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Originally from Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, Jassar has carved out a singular place in the world of Arabic music by championing tarab—a deeply emotive and nostalgic style that speaks directly to the soul. Influenced from an early age by legends like Oum Kalthoum and Abdel Halim Hafez, he has emerged as a key figure in a new generation of artists who bridge the gap between timeless tradition and contemporary flair.

His most recent single, Koul Waad, released in 2024, captivated audiences with its lyrical sensitivity and emotional depth. And just a few weeks ago, Jassar delivered a standout performance at the Dubai Opera alongside Hany Shaker, reaffirming his status as a leading voice in the classic Arabic repertoire.

The upcoming concert in Rabat promises to be a rare and intimate experience. With his rich, soulful voice, Jassar is expected to offer a moving journey into the heart of Arab musical heritage—a night that will linger long after the final note fades.
