Travelers passing through Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport can finally say goodbye to long lines. A major overhaul of security checkpoints at the entrances has streamlined access, significantly improving the passenger experience.
As part of a broader modernization effort, traditional security scanners and checkpoints at the airport’s entrance have been relocated. This adjustment allows for smoother movement without compromising stringent security standards. The initiative is the result of close collaboration between the Ministry of the Interior, the General Directorate for National Security (DGSN), and the Royal Gendarmerie.
This transformation aligns with Morocco’s national “Airports 2030” strategy, which aims to bring the country’s airport infrastructure up to world-class standards. The dual goal is to enhance passenger comfort while integrating advanced technology for more efficient crowd management.
Following Casablanca, Marrakech Menara Airport is set to implement similar improvements in the coming days. Other airports across Morocco will gradually follow suit, reinforcing the country’s commitment to continuous enhancement of its airport services.
With this initiative, the National Airports Authority (ONDA) reaffirms its ambition to position Moroccan airports as benchmarks for efficiency, comfort, and security. Additional measures are expected to further enhance the travel experience, making airport navigation smoother and more enjoyable for passengers.
