On Tuesday, August 13, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), in collaboration with the OCP Group and private sector partners, signed a strategic partnership agreement to establish a National Football Training Fund. This initiative is dedicated to financing and advancing the development of young football talents across Morocco.
Aligned with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which emphasizes efficient and transparent governance, as well as investment in infrastructure and human capital, this partnership aims to bolster national efforts to elevate Moroccan football. It brings together the expertise and resources of the three partners to strengthen and enhance football training centers throughout the country. The plan includes providing these centers with modern infrastructure, efficient facility management, and advanced technical expertise.
The Fund’s business model will focus on developing high-caliber players and integrating them into professional clubs, ensuring the sustainability of the project. A specialized joint-stock company (S.A.) will manage the Fund, with technical oversight provided by the National Technical Directorate of the FRMF.
In addition to financing the operational management of training centers, the Fund will support a model of excellence in training. This will offer young talents high-level, comprehensive coaching in a professional environment. Moreover, these centers will play a vital role in promoting social inclusion, cohesion, and the well-being of young people, contributing to the broader development and empowerment of youth and sports in Morocco.
