The Executive Council of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) approved, Wednesday in Riyadh, the appointment of Mourad Rifi, candidate of Kingdom of Morocco, as director of the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts based in Cairo.
This appointment came at the end of the 115th ordinary session of the Council, organized for two days by videoconference in Riyadh, under the chairmanship of the President of the Executive Council of the Organization, Hani bin Moqbel Al-Muqbel. On this occasion, the Executive Council approved the future action plan of the organization 2023-2028, which was prepared by the executives, experts and external centers of the organization in coordination with the Committee under the Executive Council.
The Council also welcomed the initiative of the Arab Plan for Education in Crisis and Emergency Situations, prepared in cooperation and coordination with the relevant bodies of the Secretariat General of the League of Arab States, to deal with emergency situations and allow students to continue studying by providing them with the right conditions.
