In April 2024, Morocco’s travel revenue in foreign currencies saw a robust growth, marking a significant increase of 10.6% compared to April 2023. With approximately 8 billion dirhams recorded in April alone, the total revenue by the end of April 2024 reached 31.9 billion dirhams, nearly matching the levels observed in 2023.

This performance underscores the vitality of Moroccan tourism and bolsters its growth prospects for the remainder of the year.

Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, expressed her satisfaction: “The resurgence in tourism revenues in April was anticipated given the influx of arrivals, and it demonstrates that our country remains a sought-after destination capable of generating substantial income. We will continue to enhance our offerings, particularly by diversifying entertainment activities, to reach our goal of 120 billion dirhams by 2026. Tourism is a crucial pillar of our economy, and we are committed to further strengthening its contribution.”
