In application of the high royal instructions relating to the facilitation of the return of Moroccans living abroad (MRE), the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water announced on Saturday that it had chartered two night ferry-type vessels with a capacity of 2,000 passengers and 500 cars each, as part of an agreement with the Tanger Med Port Authority.

The operation has been entrusted to the Moroccan company ‘Intershipping’ to strengthen existing maritime services, the ministry said in a statement. The rates that will be applied on board these two state-chartered vessels are in line with the base rates of 995 euros for a reference pack consisting of one car and 4 passengers.

This additional offer brings to 10 the number of long-haul vessels operating during Operation Marhaba 2021.

Passengers wishing to obtain detailed information on the ships deployed and their rotation programs as well as on the terms of reimbursement can call the national (0539337155) and international (0801005060) toll-free numbers, set up by the ministry.

The Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water encourages passengers and shipping companies to comply with all preventive measures against the spread of Covid-19 issued by the Moroccan health authorities and foreign countries authorities.
