The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication has announced the results of its 2024 support program for cultural associations, festivals, and cultural and artistic events, amounting to a total of 8.59 million dirhams.
This subsidy was granted to 176 projects out of the 842 submitted, with a total cost of 8,597,500 dirhams, according to a statement from the ministry. The committee responsible for reviewing the 2024 project applications held a series of meetings to select projects that met the required conditions to receive support.
The selected projects are distributed as follows: 67 cultural events, 107 cultural and artistic festivals, and 2 partner associations.
This support is in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 2.12.513 of May 13, 2013, relating to the support of cultural and artistic projects, and the joint decision between the Minister of Culture and the Minister of Economy and Finance No. 1387.15 of March 9, 2015, which outlines the modalities for supporting cultural associations and organizations, artistic unions, festivals, and cultural and artistic events.
This measure also supports the cultural proximity policy adopted by the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication – Department of Culture in supporting cultural and artistic programs and activities.
