The Ténor Foundation for Culture has announced the fifth Morocco Dance Competition, which will take place in Rabat from 16 to 19 April 2026.

The event is supported for the fourth year running by the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco Foundation. It is open to young people aged eight to 25 who live in Morocco, whether they are Moroccan or not.

The competition welcomes dancers in classical, contemporary, urban and free styles. Organisers say it is designed to help young talent improve, gain experience and meet international professionals.

Last year, more than 200 dancers from different cities took part. Forty-five were awarded prizes in recognition of their skills and effort.

An international panel of experienced dancers and choreographers will judge this year’s performances. They will assess technique, creativity and stage presence. Each participant will also receive personal feedback.

Free workshops led by Moroccan and international experts will be held during the event and will be open to the public.

Registration is open until 12 March 2026. Applications can be submitted online at the competition’s website or delivered in person to EIMD offices in Casablanca and Rabat.

Prizes will include 5,000 dirhams for solo winners, 4,000 dirhams for duos and 10,000 dirhams for group categories.

Organisers say the competition aims to support young artists and strengthen Morocco’s cultural scene.
