Morocco is already part of a network that helps businesses access IBM technology, and that network is now getting bigger. Arrow Electronics has expanded its distribution deal with IBM to seven more European countries: Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
Arrow already distributes IBM products in Morocco, along with several European and North American markets.
The company works with local technology partners to provide IBM products and technical support. The products cover cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data, automation and cybersecurity.
IBM products available through Arrow include watsonx.ai for generative AI, watsonx.data for data management and Red Hat OpenShift for hybrid cloud systems.
Arrow also distributes IBM tools for monitoring applications, managing cloud costs, detecting cyber threats and recovering data.
“By providing greater access to IBM’s technologies, combined with Arrow’s local expertise, we are helping channel partners create meaningful outcomes for customers navigating complex IT environments,” said Salesh Rampersad, chief revenue officer for Global Enterprise Computing Solutions at Arrow Electronics.
Arrow provides training and technical support to its partners. Its experience centres also allow companies to test AI systems, cloud migrations and other technology before deploying them.
The expansion comes as demand for digital services continues to grow in Morocco.
ICT spending is expected to reach $7.4bn in 2026 and $10.08bn by 2031, based on the figures provided. Cloud spending is expected to grow by 7.9% a year.
The data-centre infrastructure market was worth about $490m in 2025 and is forecast to reach nearly $966m by 2035.
The Digital Morocco 2030 programme aims to create 240,000 digital jobs and add 100bn dirhams ($10bn) to GDP.
“Providing innovative solutions that bolster security and resilience, Arrow is committed to empowering organizations to safeguard their digital assets so they can thrive in an increasingly complex cyber landscape,” said Matthew Brennan, vice-president of Supplier Alliances at Arrow Electronics.
The new deal adds seven European markets to an IBM distribution network that already includes Morocco.
“This coverage expansion strengthens our longstanding relationship with IBM and reflects Arrow’s focus on bringing high-quality solutions and services to the market in seven additional countries,” Rampersad said.
