The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation announced on Tuesday the allocation of MAD 200 million to engage Moroccan talents abroad, as part of the National Program for Support to Research, Development and Innovation (PNARDI) 2025–2028.
This unprecedented budget aims to attract skilled Moroccans from the diaspora to national universities and research centers, in line with the High Royal Directives calling for the mobilization of global Moroccan expertise to support national development.
Backed by a total budget of MAD 1 billion, PNARDI is the result of a strategic partnership with the OCP Foundation, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), and the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research. The program targets high-impact development sectors such as water, health, food security, renewable energy, phosphate, and social sciences.
The initiative is part of the national strategy for education and research (2015–2030) and the government’s 2021–2026 roadmap. It opens participation to all public and private research stakeholders across the country.
