Morocco is making a strong presence at the Farnborough International Airshow, held in southwest London from July 22 to 26, to highlight the country’s investment and sourcing opportunities in the aerospace sector.

The Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), in collaboration with the Moroccan Aerospace Industries Association (GIMAS), the Ministry of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, is spearheading Morocco’s participation in this major aerospace industry event.

Morocco boasts a 180 m² pavilion where business meetings and networking sessions are held with international institutions and various global aerospace industry players. The aim is to showcase Morocco’s expertise and strengthen partnerships with key industry stakeholders.

The event features B2G (Business to Government) meetings, attended by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour.

An impressive Moroccan delegation, consisting of officials and aerospace professionals, is participating in this prestigious event. Led by AMDIE Director General Ali Seddiki, the delegation includes several key public and private sector institutions such as the National Defense Administration (ADN), Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), Royal Air Maroc, Medz, TMSA, and the Aerospace Industry Training Institute (IMA).

Additionally, Moroccan aerospace companies are leveraging the event to showcase their expertise, including Bi Engineering, Dona, GLPF, NTS, OB Electronique, TDM Aerospace, Structural Aerospace Morocco, LEANCAM, and Trigo.

Morocco, positioned as an industrial hub, offers a world-class aerospace platform with a dynamic ecosystem. According to AMDIE, over 142 companies operate in Morocco’s aerospace and space industries, employing 20,000 people and generating $2 billion in export revenue.

The sector boasts a 40% integration rate and an average annual growth of 17%, significantly above the global average. These achievements underscore Morocco’s excellent prospects as a prime destination for aerospace industry investments.

The event, which opened on Monday with the presence of Morocco’s ambassador to the UK, Hakim Hajoui, features a diverse five-day program including conferences, panel discussions, country presentations, and exhibitions.
