Raja Club Athletic has signed a three-year deal with ticketing platform Webook.com to manage all of the club’s online ticket sales. The agreement gives Webook exclusive rights to sell the club’s electronic tickets over the next three seasons. RAJA S.A., the company that manages the club’s sporting and commercial activities, said the move is part of a wider plan to improve digital services and make buying tickets easier for fans.

The new system will let supporters buy digital tickets and enter the stadium more quickly and securely. It will also introduce new features over time, including 3D seat selection, an official ticket resale service for fans who cannot attend matches, and an online store for the club’s digital products.

RAJA S.A. said more services will be added in the future to make matchdays more personalised and improve the overall fan experience.

The company said the new ticketing system will also help the club better understand its supporters, build stronger relationships with them and manage matchday income more efficiently.

Webook was chosen after RAJA S.A. reviewed several factors, including the quality of its technology, user experience, operational capacity and its ability to handle a club with a large fan base.

Nawal Al Aidaoui, Chief Executive of RAJA S.A., said: “Supporters are at the heart of the club’s development strategy. The new ticketing project is not limited to digitising the sales process. It aims to provide a simpler, smoother and safer experience while enabling the club to better understand its supporters’ expectations and build a stronger long-term relationship with them.”

Webook said it will use its technology and operational experience to build a ticketing system that suits Raja’s needs while offering high levels of security and helping tackle unofficial ticket sales and the black market.

The platform operates in more than 180 countries. It is also the exclusive ticketing partner of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and manages the federation’s official ticketing platform.

Webook also sells tickets for major events such as Jazzablanca and Casablanca Music Week, giving it experience in handling large numbers of ticket sales.

Amin Alaoui, General Manager of Webook Morocco, said: “We are proud to support Raja Club Athletic, one of the region’s biggest clubs in terms of fan base. This partnership, following our collaboration with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, reflects our commitment to using our technological expertise to serve Moroccan football by building a simple, reliable and innovative ticketing system that brings the club closer to its supporters and helps modernise the matchday experience.”

RAJA S.A. said the partnership is another step in its plan to run the club under a more professional model by investing in digital technology, improving the fan experience and increasing revenue to support the club’s sporting ambitions.

The company has a share capital of 250 million dirhams. It is owned 60% by Ports4Impact and 40% by Raja Club Athletic Association, and oversees the club’s sporting and commercial activities.
