Coastguards of the Royal Navy, operating in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, have assisted during the period from 10 to 14 July 2021, a total of 344 would-be immigrants, mostly sub-Saharan, including women and children, who were in difficulty on board makeshift boats, a military source said.

The rescued persons received first aid on board the Royal Navy units, before being transported to the nearest ports of the Kingdom and then handed to the Royal Gendarmerie for the usual procedures, the same source said.
