Ryanair is adding more flights to Morocco this winter as the country looks to bring more tourists to different regions. The airline will operate 156 routes during the Winter 2026 season, including 17 new ones. It will offer 5.3 million seats and connect Morocco with 14 European countries.
The new routes include seven from Rabat, five from Marrakech and five from Agadir. The expansion also covers 13 airports across the country, making it easier for travellers to reach Fez, Tetouan, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Dakhla and Nador.
Better air links are expected to help spread tourists beyond the busiest destinations. More direct flights could also bring more visitors to smaller cities and support local tourism businesses.
The programme follows Ryanair’s decision to open its fifth base in Morocco at Rabat-Salé Airport. The airline invested $200m in the base and stationed two aircraft there.
Ryanair has now invested more than $1.6bn in Morocco. The investment supports more than 8,500 direct and indirect jobs.
The Rabat expansion will increase the airport’s international capacity by 45% and add around 79,000 seats in its first phase.
ONMT, the Moroccan National Tourist Office, is working with airlines to increase flights from key markets and improve access to destinations across the country.
The office has already secured more than 7.74 million airline seats for Summer 2026 through partnerships covering 13 airports.
The plan supports a national target of attracting 26 million tourists by 2030 ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
Morocco welcomed nearly 20 million tourists in 2025 and generated more than 138bn Moroccan dirhams in tourism revenue. International arrivals were up 7% in the first months of 2026.
