Morocco’s historical reinsurer, Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR), is entering a new chapter. Rebranded as Atlantic Re, the company unveils a renewed ambition: to consolidate its leadership at home while accelerating its expansion across Africa and the Middle East.
With over six decades of expertise, Atlantic Re retains its foundational role in Morocco’s insurance landscape while adopting a forward-looking stance—one that blends innovation, resilience, and continental reach. The rebranding marks more than a visual transformation; it signals the launch of an ambitious roadmap aligned with Morocco’s strategic goals for regional influence.
In 2024, the company reported nearly MAD 4 billion in revenue, with almost a third generated internationally. Through its three regional hubs in Abidjan, Kigali, and Cairo, Atlantic Re now operates in over 70 countries and collaborates with more than 500 partners worldwide.
At the heart of this transformation lies Reach2030, a strategic plan designed to bolster the company’s national roots while cultivating its role as a continental champion. The plan revolves around five pillars: enhancing financial and technical robustness, expanding regional influence, fostering talent, transforming client relations, and promoting tailor-made solutions.
This evolution echoes the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI for a more resilient, impactful, and engaged Morocco on the African stage. Atlantic Re embodies this vision—rooted in experience, yet boldly embracing the challenges of tomorrow.
