A significant shift is underway in Morocco’s healthcare industry, particularly in the field of dialysis treatment. Soludia Maghreb SA, a Moroccan company based in Salé and established in 1998, has taken a major step forward by acquiring key assets from Fresenius Medical Care Pharma Afrique SA. These assets, previously managed by the Moroccan branch of the German multinational Fresenius Medical Care, are essential to the importation and production of dialysis concentrates.

Although Fresenius Medical Care Pharma Afrique has operated in Morocco since 1996, its facility in Nouaceur, near Casablanca, remained under the control of its German parent company. This acquisition signals a strategic turning point, bolstering Morocco’s industrial sovereignty in the dialysis sector.

By taking over these operations, Soludia Maghreb SA strengthens its position as a leading player in the country’s healthcare market. Specializing in the production and distribution of hemodialysis concentrates, the company aims to enhance local supply chains and improve access to vital medical products for both patients and healthcare providers.

This move not only expands Soludia Maghreb SA’s expertise but also contributes to the overall improvement of medical care by boosting local production capacity. Meanwhile, Fresenius Medical Care Pharma Afrique SA is shifting its focus toward other areas of business, as part of a broader strategic realignment.
