Three awards in six months for Vivo Energy Maroc and Shell brand

Vivo Energy Maroc says it has scored a rare hat-trick in 2026 after receiving awards for its products, customer service and brand reputation. The company, which distributes Shell fuels and lubricants in Morocco and markets Butagaz gas products, said the awards reflect its performance across all parts of its business.

Shell V-Power was named Product of the Year for the sixth year in a row, while Shell Helix Ultra won the same title for the fourth consecutive year.

Vivo Energy Maroc was also named Customer Service of the Year Morocco 2026 in the Motorist Services category. The award is based on mystery shopper tests carried out through different customer contact channels, including in-person service, phone calls and digital platforms.

The tests measured how quickly staff responded, how clear the information was and how easy the customer experience was.

The company received a third recognition during Imperiales Week 2026, where Shell ranked first in the Love Brand survey in the Energy and Fuels category.

The survey was conducted among more than 4,800 consumers across six major Moroccan cities and had a confidence level of 95%. It measures how strongly people feel connected to a brand beyond simply buying its products.

Morocco’s vehicle fleet now exceeds 4.2 million vehicles, making competition among fuel distributors increasingly important.

Vivo Energy Maroc says the awards recognise three key areas of its business: product quality through Shell V-Power and Shell Helix Ultra, customer service across its stations and contact channels, and the strength of the Shell brand among Moroccan consumers.

“These distinctions are particularly meaningful because they recognise, each in its own way, the three pillars of our business: the quality of our products, the high standards of our service and the strong relationship we have built with Moroccan consumers,” said Matthias de Larminat, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Maroc.

He said the awards reinforce the company’s commitment to supporting mobility in Morocco through high standards, a strong local presence and continued focus on performance.

Shell V-Power has become one of the company’s best-known fuel products in Morocco. Shell Helix Ultra uses PurePlus technology, which is designed to help protect engines and maintain performance over time.

Vivo Energy Maroc remains one of the sector’s biggest players. It has more than 470 Shell service stations across the country and an estimated 23% share of Morocco’s fuel distribution market.
