The Spanish low-cost airline Vueling is making moves once again, announcing the launch of a brand-new route connecting Barcelona and Essaouira. Starting in July, the airline will operate two weekly flights, further strengthening air links between Spain and Morocco.

This new route is part of Vueling’s broader strategy to expand its international network from Barcelona. To support this growth, the airline will add three additional aircraft to its Barcelona-El Prat fleet, increasing its seating capacity by 9% compared to last summer.

With its charming medina, vibrant cultural scene, and breathtaking coastal views, Essaouira has been gaining popularity among international travelers. This new route represents a valuable opportunity to boost tourism in the city while making travel between Spain and Morocco even more accessible.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in El Prat de Llobregat, Vueling continues to expand its network to meet the rising demand for affordable flights to attractive destinations. The launch of the Barcelona-Essaouira route is yet another step in the airline’s mission to connect travelers to new horizons.
