On the sidelines of the third edition of GITEX Africa, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) signed a strategic partnership aimed at advancing the digital transformation of the national healthcare system.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday in Marrakech by Amine Tehraoui, Minister of Health and Social Protection, and Khalid Safir, Director General of the CDG. It aligns with the Royal Vision for a deep and integrated reform of Morocco’s healthcare sector, as well as with national efforts to modernize public services and infrastructures through digital innovation.

A key initiative under this partnership is the creation of a “Digital Lab” within the Ministry of Health. This innovation hub will serve as a strategic platform for developing cutting-edge digital solutions in the medical field. It will also play a key role in improving system performance and fostering a national e-health innovation ecosystem, ultimately boosting the competitiveness and resilience of Morocco’s health sector.

The partnership focuses on three main objectives: supporting major structural projects, enhancing the governance of health services, and accelerating digital adoption across public health infrastructure.

Through this agreement, both institutions reaffirm their shared commitment to supporting public policies with high social and economic impact, contributing actively to the sustainable transformation of the national health system—fully aligned with Morocco’s strategic priorities and the Enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
