Renault is stepping up its investment in Morocco with a new facility in Tétouan Shore, further anchoring its presence in the country as part of a broader push toward innovation-led industrial growth. The move reflects the company’s strategy to weave engineering and advanced technology more deeply into its global operations, with Morocco emerging as a pivotal hub.
The new site, launched by Renault Technologie Maroc—the group’s research and development arm—is being positioned as a key platform for technological advancement across Africa. By establishing itself in Tétouan, an area quickly becoming a magnet for tech talent and digital industries, Renault underscores Morocco’s growing importance in its international ecosystem.
The center’s primary mission will be to help design and develop future vehicle models, working closely with the company’s production plants already operating in Morocco. Beyond supporting current manufacturing, the site also aims to explore disruptive technologies, with the goal of turning the region into a benchmark for automotive engineering excellence.
The operation will be split between two complementary branches. The Tétouan Shore headquarters will focus on advanced research and innovation projects, especially those tied to emerging technologies. Meanwhile, a separate facility connected to Renault’s plant in Tangier will ensure that engineering and production stay tightly aligned, bridging the gap between concept and manufacturing in real time.
