The Comediablanca comedy festival is ready to step onto a much bigger stage. After two successful editions in Casablanca that drew enthusiastic crowds, the event is now heading abroad for the first time. The international tour kicks off on December 22, 2025, at the legendary Olympia theater in Paris—and to mark the occasion, the festival has recruited a major name to headline the show: Gad Elmaleh.
The celebrated comedian, who was born in Casablanca, will be joining the Comediablanca tour as it brings a global flavor to the world of stand-up. He’ll be part of an eclectic, multigenerational lineup that includes both veteran performers and emerging voices from around the globe. Sharing the stage with Elmaleh are comedians such as Oualas, Jalil Tijani, Meryem Benoua, Mimo Lazrak, Ethan Lallouz, John Sulo, and Sarah Lélé—each bringing their own style and energy to an event that celebrates comedy without borders.
With over 11,000 attendees across its past two editions, Comediablanca has already established itself as a vibrant showcase for the new wave of Moroccan and international comedians. Now, it’s going global, with upcoming stops planned in Brussels, Montreal, Abidjan, and more. The tour will ultimately circle back to its home base in Casablanca, where audiences are already anticipating its return.
For Gad Elmaleh, this tour isn’t just another gig—it’s part of a deeper reconnection with his roots. He recently returned to Morocco with his one-man show “Himself,” performing to sold-out crowds at the Mohammed V Complex. Speaking about the experience, he captured the emotional resonance of coming home: “In Morocco, I feel in sync with who I am.”
