Morocco has won Partner Destination of the Year 2025 from France’s leading tour operators group, SETO, after welcoming a record 5.7 million French tourists in one year.
The award was presented in Paris to Achraf Fayda, head of the Moroccan National Tourist Office. SETO said the prize reflects strong cooperation and trust between French travel companies and Morocco.
In 2025, Morocco received 5,763,404 French visitors, up 11 percent on the previous year.
SETO data shows passenger numbers rose 8% by 31 October 2025. The average spend per traveller reached 1,019 euros, an increase of 5%. Winter bookings are also growing at a double digit rate.
Industry figures suggest visitors are staying longer and spending more, often choosing smaller luxury hotels and eco friendly stays. Morocco has also added more flights from French cities including Nantes, Lyon and Bordeaux.
Tourism officials have promoted destinations beyond Marrakech, such as Dakhla for water sports and the historic cities of Fes and Meknes.
SETO will hold its annual forum in Tetouan from 25 to 27 March 2025. The event brings together major French travel companies to review sales and discuss market trends.
