Lesieur Cristal says it has secured and begun rolling out the “Made in Morocco” label across a range of its products, including table oils, olive oils, cosmetic soaps and household soaps.
The announcement was made during an official certificate ceremony held on Thursday in Casablanca.
The label applies to several brands in the group’s portfolio, including Lesieur, Cristal, Oléor, Mabrouka, Al Horra, Taous, El Menjel and El Kef, the company said in a statement.
The certification is granted under the supervision of the Institut marocain de normalisation. It confirms that the products are of Moroccan origin, made through controlled processes across the full value chain, and meet national standards for quality and safety.
Lesieur Cristal said the recognition is based in part on the principle of substantial transformation within Morocco, along with compliance with recognised standards and frameworks.
The label follows a process involving technical reviews, compliance audits and on-site checks. Ongoing audits are also planned to ensure standards are maintained.
Depending on the product category, the process draws on several certifications, including sanitary approval from the ONSSA, the Halal IMANOR label, FSSC 22000 certification for oils, and ISO 22716 standards for cosmetic soaps.
