A health union in Agadir wants answers about the role of a doctor under the new Territorial Health Group (GST) Souss-Massa. The National Federation of the Health Sector (UNTM), through its Agadir Ida-Outanane office, sent a letter to the regional health director on 10 August.
The union is asking about a doctor who previously headed the Health Establishments Network Service.
According to the union, the doctor still signs documents, gives instructions and intervenes in different departments.
The union wants to know if the Health Establishments Network Service still exists in its previous form after the creation of the GST Souss-Massa.
If the service no longer exists, the union wants the administration to explain the doctor’s current position and why she can still carry out duties linked to her former role.
The union also says it had raised concerns about her management of the service in the past. It accused her of abusing her authority, treating staff differently and interfering in the work of other departments.
These are allegations made by the union and have not been independently confirmed.
The union is now calling for clear roles under the new health system. It wants the regional health director to clarify the situation and prevent overlap between the old structures and the new GST.
