The Board of Directors of Bank of Africa – BMCE Group convened on Friday, June 28, 2024, to discuss key strategic initiatives. During this meeting, the Board decided to propose the appointment of a new Independent Director at an upcoming Extraordinary General Assembly.
The proposed candidate is Jinane Laghari, a Moroccan national with an impressive academic background, holding degrees from Harvard Kennedy School and the École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) in Paris.
With approximately 15 years of experience at McKinsey, Jinane Laghari has gained extensive expertise across various sectors, including finance, agriculture, employment, economic development, education, and the public sector. Her diverse career spans both private companies and government entities, reflecting a broad understanding of both corporate and public administration.
In addition to her professional achievements, Laghari has a strong commitment to education. She is actively involved in the governance of several universities and higher education institutions in Morocco, contributing her knowledge and insights to the academic community.
This strategic nomination aims to enhance the independence and gender diversity of the Board, aligning with the bank’s commitment to inclusive and balanced governance.
