Morocco has solidified its position as a climate action leader, climbing to 8th place globally on the Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI 2025). This achievement was announced at COP29 in Baku and aligns perfectly with the upcoming Green Impact Expo & Summit 2025, slated to take place from February 11 to 13 at Anfa Park in Casablanca. The summit aims to reshape the future of sustainable mobility in the region, supporting the next phase of national climate ambition under the NDC 3.0 framework.

With support from key government ministries—including Industry and Trade, Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Transport and Logistics, as well as Digital Transition and Administrative Reform—the summit serves as a catalyst for real change. Its core mission is to foster collaboration between public and private stakeholders while promoting innovative strategies, sustainable business practices, and competitive solutions tailored to the needs of modern enterprises.

The Green Impact Expo & Summit isn’t just about showcasing theoretical solutions—it’s designed to drive real progress. It will highlight critical factors in ecological transition, including regulations, financing, technology, and digital innovation. Key discussions will center on encouraging innovation, strengthening economic resilience, and developing long-term tools for monitoring and cooperation. Through these initiatives, the summit seeks to build a durable ecosystem capable of adapting to an ever-evolving world.

Morocco aspires to lead by example, positioning itself as a pioneer in sustainable and inclusive mobility across Africa. By bringing together businesses, public institutions, civil society, academia, and tech experts, the event creates a much-needed synergy to propel forward its climate and economic objectives.

The 2025 edition of the summit gains added significance with France serving as the country of honor, underscoring the deep and long-standing cooperation between the two nations. High-profile delegations from Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and China, among others, will also take part. Sweden, a leader in green mobility innovation, will showcase its achievements through a dedicated exhibition space.

These international collaborations will enable the transfer of knowledge and technology, while boosting the competitiveness of Moroccan and African companies engaged in the decarbonization of transportation. As such, Casablanca is set to become a hub for intercontinental dialogue on sustainable innovation during the summit.

The Economic, Social, and Environmental Council (CESE) is playing a pivotal role in shaping the summit’s scientific program. Its expertise ensures that the event addresses the priorities of all stakeholders, including social and environmental concerns. This inclusive approach guarantees that proposed solutions align with Morocco’s broader socio-economic and environmental goals.

Organized in collaboration with prominent partners like the Moroccan Employers’ Federation (FTL-CGEM) and CESE, the Green Impact Expo & Summit 2025 marks a turning point in the continent’s sustainability agenda. By strengthening ties between the public and private sectors, the summit is poised to become a key event in the global effort to develop sustainable mobility solutions.

With this flagship event, Morocco reaffirms its leadership in Africa’s fight against climate change, particularly in decarbonizing transportation. The Green Impact Expo & Summit aims for tangible outcomes, delivering practical, scalable solutions tailored to the needs of both businesses and citizens. For three days, Casablanca will be at the forefront of global innovation in sustainable mobility, showcasing Morocco’s deep commitment to combating climate change and enhancing climate resilience.
