The Achraf Hakimi Foundation, in collaboration with Tibu Africa and the Al Ihssane Association, has launched an innovative program aimed at fostering inclusion for young people with disabilities through sports. This initiative, inaugurated at the Bouafi Center in Casablanca, was unveiled on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and reflects a broader vision that places sports at the core of education, personal growth, and social and economic integration.

Tailored to the unique needs of its beneficiaries, the program emphasizes three interconnected aspects of development: motor skills, cognitive capabilities, and socio-emotional wellbeing. Participants are provided with opportunities to enhance their physical coordination through specialized activities, strengthen their learning abilities in dedicated workshops, and build self-confidence within a supportive social framework.

The project also incorporates a forward-thinking employment initiative by engaging specialized sports-health animators, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive strategy. The Bouafi Center itself is thoughtfully designed to meet the diverse needs of its participants, offering adapted facilities and an enriching sports environment where education and physical activity come together seamlessly.

Through regular sessions that blend sports, education, and social interaction, young participants receive personalized guidance to unlock their potential, gain independence, and cultivate meaningful connections. The addition of a dedicated sports field enriches the inclusive setting, highlighting the unifying power of athletic activities in promoting social bonds and personal growth.

Achraf Hakimi, the renowned Moroccan footballer and founder of the Achraf Hakimi Foundation, expressed his pride in supporting an initiative that gives voice and opportunities to young people with disabilities. He emphasized that sports can provide a platform for them to dream, grow, and thrive. Hakimi also highlighted the ongoing success of previous collaborations with Tibu Africa, underlining their shared commitment to inclusion and youth development.

Amine Zariat, Founder and President of Tibu Africa, described the program as a significant milestone in advancing inclusion through sports. He reaffirmed his organization’s belief in the unique potential of every young person and the ability of such programs to help them flourish.

This initiative is the result of a strong partnership between Tibu Africa, the Achraf Hakimi Foundation, and the Al Ihssane Association, whose honorary president is Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaâ. The program serves as a powerful example of how sports can be a transformative tool for inclusion and social change, reflecting a shared vision of a future where every young person, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
