The Moroccan Association of Exporters (ASMEX) held its Ordinary General Assembly followed by an Extraordinary General Assembly on July 3, 2024, in Casablanca.

Members unanimously approved renaming ASMEX to the Confédération Marocaine des Exportateurs, signaling a new era and strengthening its vital role in the national economy.

In his speech, President Hassan Sentissi praised the progress of the export sector and the organization’s significant contribution as an economic driver. He highlighted ASMEX’s resilience in the face of economic shocks and its continuous positive growth. Sentissi also emphasized efforts to enhance competitiveness and provide effective support services, helping Moroccan exporters access new markets.

The financial report confirmed ASMEX’s robust health, demonstrating the commitment of its members. Constructive discussions led to the unanimous approval of reports and discharge for the Executive Board and the Board of Directors. The Extraordinary General Assembly’s approval of the name change further cemented the organization’s status.

Hassan Sentissi concluded the meeting by highlighting new opportunities for the Moroccan export sector, especially through the proactive diplomacy of King Mohammed VI, which opens up vast prospects for Morocco.
