The Regional Directorate of Health (DRS) of Marrakech-Safi has denied the information relayed by some electronic media, reporting the death of patients suffering from Covid-19 which would be due to an alleged shortage of oxygen at the Mohammed V hospital in Safi.

“The Mohammed V Provincial Hospital in Safi has the necessary equipment to take care of patients with Covid-19, including oxygen cylinders,” the Marrakech-Safi DRS said in a statement, noting that all “deaths recorded in the region are related to complications of Covid-19”.

The same source recalled that the Ministry of Health has provided hospitals with the necessary equipment for optimal management of the pandemic.
