The prominent Moroccan hospitality company, Groupe Rahal, has announced its ambitious plan to establish operations in Senegal by 2025, as part of its broader Pan-African expansion strategy.
Kamal Rahal Essoulami, the group’s CEO, shared this exciting development in an interview with the newspaper “Le Sud Quotidien.” Renowned for its expertise in event catering and large-scale international events across Africa, Groupe Rahal aims to create up to 5,000 jobs in Senegal within the first three years of its establishment.
Beyond its core catering services, Groupe Rahal intends to diversify its activities in Senegal by investing in the processing of local products such as fish, mangoes, and cashew nuts. This initiative is expected to significantly boost the local economy by generating employment opportunities and adding value to the country’s natural resources.
Senegal was chosen as the initial site for this African expansion due to its robust economic growth and increasing demand for high-quality hospitality and catering services. Leveraging its extensive experience in Morocco, Groupe Rahal is well-positioned to meet this demand effectively.
The move into Senegal marks just the beginning of a larger expansion plan across Africa. Groupe Rahal is already eyeing other countries on the continent where it sees similar opportunities for growth.
