At a recent Council of Ministers session presided over by King Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Casablanca, several key appointments were made to reinforce the leadership of Morocco’s strategic public institutions. These new leaders bring robust academic and professional backgrounds, ensuring continued excellence in the management of these organizations.

Tarik Hammane – Director General of ONEE

Tarik Hammane has been named the Director General of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE). He is an electrical engineering graduate with a specialized master’s degree in automated systems engineering from INSA Lyon. Most recently, Hammane served as Deputy Director General of MASEN and has held significant roles at TOTAL Eren and ONEE, contributing greatly to Morocco’s energy sector development.

Adil El Fakir – Director General of the National Airports Office (ONDA)

Adil El Fakir has been appointed as the Director General of the National Airports Office (ONDA). He holds an MBA from École des Ponts Paris, a DESS in marketing studies from the University of Social Sciences in Toulouse, and a Master’s degree from the Moroccan Institute of Commerce and Management. Before his appointment, El Fakir led the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) since 2018 and held various leadership roles at SNRT, Atlas Bottling Company, and The Coca-Cola Company.

Tarik Moufaddal – CEO of MASEN

Tarik Moufaddal is now the CEO of the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN). A graduate of École des Mines de Paris and École Mohammadia d’Ingénieurs, Moufaddal was previously the Director of Mobility Solutions France at Total Energies. He brings extensive international experience, having held senior positions in Tanzania, France, and North Africa for Total Energies.

Mustapha Farès – Director General of ANP

Mustapha Farès has been appointed as the Director General of the National Ports Agency (ANP). He is a public works engineer and a civil engineering graduate from the École Spéciale des Travaux Publics de Paris and École Hassania des Travaux Publics. Farès recently served as the interim Secretary General of the Ministry of Equipment and Water and has led the Public Laboratory for Tests and Studies (LPEE) as well as held various leadership roles at the Bouregreg Valley Development Agency.

Mohammed Cherkaoui Eddeqaqi – Director General of ADM

Mohammed Cherkaoui Eddeqaqi is the new Director General of the National Motorways Company of Morocco (ADM). He graduated in civil engineering from Saint Petersburg State Polytechnical University and holds a master’s degree in project management from École des Mines de Paris. Prior to his appointment, he was the Director General of the Taghazout Station Development and Promotion Company and held leadership positions at Madaëf and MedZ.
