The funeral of beloved Moroccan actress Naima Lamcharki, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 81, took place on Sunday in Casablanca amidst deep emotion. Following the Ad-Dohr and funeral prayers at the Achouhada mosque, her remains were laid to rest at the Achouhada cemetery, with many notable figures from the arts, close friends, and family members present to pay their final respects.

Throughout her illustrious career, Naima Lamcharki became one of the pillars of Moroccan theater and cinema. She starred in numerous theatrical productions, collaborating with some of the most renowned theater companies, such as Maâmoura and Bassatine, as well as the Moroccan Radio and Television troupe. On television, she captivated audiences with leading roles in popular series like La Famille Ramdam.

Her cinematic work was equally impressive, with participation in over 20 Moroccan and international films, including Noces de Sang, Lalla Hobbi, and The Battle of the Three Kings. Beyond acting, Lamcharki ventured into television hosting, leading the educational program Alif Lam from 2000 to 2004 on Al Oula, a show dedicated to combating illiteracy.
