Morocco opens 2025 military service registration for citizens at home and abroad

Morocco has officially launched its 2025 military service census, kicking off the registration process this Friday. According to the Interior Ministry, the operation will run through June 23. Young Moroccan citizens—both men and women—who will be between 19 and 25 years old by September 1, 2025, are required to complete the online registration form available at the official website, www.tajnid.ma.

This annual registration is part of a broader effort to uphold the country’s legal obligations surrounding mandatory military service. Ahead of the launch, a preparatory meeting was held on April 17 at the Interior Ministry, chaired by a senior official from the Court of Cassation. The meeting finalized the selection lists, ensuring fair representation across regions and an equitable process for all eligible citizens.

Anyone who receives a formal notification must complete the registration process on the tajnid portal before the June deadline. However, the program also welcomes volunteers: those who haven’t been called but wish to serve can apply on their own initiative through the same website.

The operation also extends to Moroccan nationals living abroad. Those registered with consulates can express their interest in participating, reinforcing the inclusive nature of the campaign.

For further assistance, applicants can contact local administrative offices or visit orientation centers set up in prefectures, provinces, and districts. Additional details and guidance are also provided on the tajnid.ma portal.
