Online shopping has become part of daily life, but so has the worry about fraud and stolen card details. That is the problem Attijariwafa Bank is now trying to tackle with a new set of virtual bank cards designed to make online payments safer and simpler.
The bank has introduced two types of virtual cards. The first is a single-use card. It is created for one purchase only, and then it disappears once the payment is done. That means it cannot be reused if someone tries to misuse the details.
The second type is a multi-use virtual card. It is built for people who pay for things regularly online, like subscriptions. Users can set how long the card stays active, depending on what they need it for.
To keep transactions secure, the bank has added extra safety steps. Payments go through stronger verification systems, including one time passwords sent to confirm the purchase, helping protect customer information.
