Deepal drivers in Morocco will soon be able to update their cars without going to a garage, as the brand introduces over-the-air software updates.

The system, developed with Changan, works like a smartphone update. Cars download new features and fixes through an internet connection.

Drivers will use the Deepal mobile app to install updates. These can fix software problems or add new functions to the car’s screen while it is parked.

The rollout will be gradual and should take between nine and 12 months to reach all cars, depending on the model and equipment. In Morocco, the brand is represented by Global Sian Motors, part of the Bugshan Group.

Deepal currently sells two cars in Morocco: the S05 and the S07. Both use REEV technology, which means they run mainly on electricity but also have a small petrol engine that works as a generator when needed.

The S05 is a compact SUV with 217 horsepower. The larger S07 is a premium SUV with 238 horsepower. Both can drive around 160 km on electric power alone, with prices starting at about 329,900 dirhams for the S05 and 369,900 dirhams for the S07.

Inside, both models come with modern tech features. The S07 has a 15.6-inch screen that can tilt towards the driver or passenger. The S05 has a slightly smaller 15.4-inch screen. Both include a 360-degree camera, cruise control that adjusts to traffic, and a head-up display.

The petrol engine is not used to drive the wheels. It only works to generate electricity, helping the cars reach over 1,000 km in total range when fully fuelled and charged.

Both models also include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated and ventilated seats, and a 14-speaker sound system.

Deepal opened its main showroom in Casablanca’s Ain Diab area in November 2025. It is now preparing to expand to other major cities in Morocco.
