Moroccan golf continues to make its mark on the international stage. At the BMW Golf Cup 2025 World Final, held from March 4 to 7 in Bangkok, Team Morocco delivered an outstanding performance, highlighted by Hamza Chraïbi’s impressive podium finish. Competing in the second-series category, Chraïbi secured a remarkable second place despite the challenging weather conditions, underscoring his resilience and skill.

This prestigious event brought together the top amateur players from 38 countries, serving as the culmination of a rigorous qualification process that involved over 100,000 participants worldwide. For Morocco, the selection process was meticulously overseen by Smeia, BMW’s official representative in the country, which organized a national circuit to identify and prepare the most promising talents.

Representing Morocco alongside Chraïbi were Lamyaa Cherkab and Mohammad Achakkar, both of whom displayed exceptional skill in a highly competitive field. Their strong physical, mental, and strategic preparation paid off, reinforcing Morocco’s standing as a rising force in amateur golf.

Smeia has been a driving force behind the development of Moroccan golf for more than two decades, consistently investing in the sport’s growth and international recognition. Through initiatives such as the BMW Golf Cup Junior, the company has played a crucial role in nurturing young talent and hosting prestigious tournaments, yielding tangible success on the global stage.

Buoyed by this latest achievement, Team Morocco is already looking ahead. With their sights set on future editions of the BMW Golf Cup, they are determined to climb even higher and further cement Morocco’s place in the tournament’s history.
