Tourba and Crédit Agricole du Maroc join forces to boost sustainable farming

A new milestone for Moroccan agriculture was reached at the 17th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM). Tourba, a subsidiary of INNOVX specializing in carbon farming, and Crédit Agricole du Maroc (CAM) signed a strategic agreement to support farmers in acquiring direct seeders – a key tool in conservation agriculture.

The partnership, signed in the presence of Agriculture Minister Ahmed El Bouari and CAM Chairman Mohammed Fikrat, is part of the ISTIDAMA program. Its aim: to accelerate the adoption of direct seeding techniques that improve soil health, enhance water management, and generate high-quality carbon credits.

Direct seeding – which avoids plowing and preserves crop residues – plays a central role in conservation agriculture. It protects soil fertility, reduces erosion, and strengthens farms’ resilience to climate change, while opening access to new sources of revenue through carbon credits.

Through this initiative, Crédit Agricole du Maroc reaffirms its commitment to climate-smart agriculture. The bank pledges to provide financial support to innovative, eco-friendly projects while fostering social and financial inclusion in rural areas.

Tourba, for its part, is helping farmers shift toward sustainable practices. Its approach blends agronomic solutions with carbon monetization, offering a double benefit: improving yields and contributing to global climate goals.

This partnership illustrates a forward-thinking vision of Moroccan agriculture – one that is greener, more resilient, and firmly anchored in the challenges of our time.
