The ZEEKR 7X was the best-selling luxury battery-electric SUV in Morocco in the first half of 2026, according to Geely Automobile Holdings. The Chinese carmaker made the claim in its half-year results. It did not disclose how many 7X vehicles were sold in Morocco or the model’s market share. Morocco was the only mention of the country in Geely’s 74-page report.

The result comes as ZEEKR, Geely’s premium electric-car brand, expands rapidly outside China. Its exports rose 550% year on year to 42,262 vehicles in the first six months of 2026.

By the end of June, ZEEKR had 202 sales outlets across 57 countries and territories outside mainland China.

Total ZEEKR sales, including China, reached 178,370 vehicles, almost double the figure from a year earlier.

The 7X also ranked first in several premium electric SUV categories in other markets. It led mid-sized SUVs costing more than A$65,000 in Australia, luxury electric SUVs priced above 200,000 ringgit in Malaysia and mid-sized luxury electric SUVs in Egypt.

Three versions sold in Morocco

The ZEEKR 7X is built on Geely’s 800-volt SEA2 platform. The company says it can charge from 10% to 80% in 13 minutes.

In Morocco, the SUV is available in three versions, priced between 575,000 and 675,000 dirhams.

The entry-level 7X Core RWD has 416 horsepower and a 75kWh battery, with a claimed WLTP range of 480km.

The Long Range RWD version costs 625,000 dirhams and uses a 100kWh battery, with a claimed range of 615km.

The top 7X Privilege AWD costs 675,000 dirhams. It produces 630 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds.

Tractafric Motors Morocco, part of Optorg Group, is the official importer and distributor of ZEEKR in the country. The brand has a flagship showroom on Boulevard Moulay Rachid in Casablanca and locations in Marrakech.

“The launch of ZEEKR in Morocco symbolises a major strategic step forward for Tractafric Motors. It is a visionary brand that combines high technology and luxury mobility,” said Younes El Aouad, managing director of Tractafric Motors Morocco.
