The Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, held a working session on Thursday in Rabat with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Morocco, Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh. The session focused on the development of cooperative relations in tourism between the two countries.
After highlighting the excellence of bilateral cooperation in various fields between the two nations, united by bonds of friendship and fraternity, both parties reiterated their commitment to further enhance their tourism cooperation, according to a statement from the ministry. On this occasion, Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh, as cited in the statement, congratulated the Kingdom of Morocco on its recognized expertise in tourism, noting that for Saudi nationals, Morocco remains a preferred destination, especially for family tourism.
For her part, Ms. Ammor suggested increasing the number of air connections between the two countries to boost the flow of Saudi tourists to Morocco.
The minister also emphasized the importance of continuing the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of tourism signed between the two countries on November 24, 2022, and invited experts from both nations to expedite its execution.
At the end of the meeting, the Saudi diplomat proposed exchange visits for a fruitful partnership, capitalizing on the achievements made between the two countries in the tourism sector, the statement concluded.
